Whose They

Whose They

Who are they?
You speak of
Beginning the phrase
You know what they say
I concur it is amazing
How anyone can easily relate to that saying.
I'm just wondering is it native or foreign
I think I waste too much time pondering it's origin.

Where are they?
You scold of
Telling us what we can and can't do
Subjected to follow these invisible rules
And yet somehow they dictate me
Enslaved in the land of the free
Limited tragically,
Isn't this the country of opportunity.

What are they?
These free thinkers
Going outside the box
To prove a point of paradox
Going to great lengths to strengthen the mind
Removing the hands in front the eyes making them blind
Everyday proving it can be done differently,
They are they and they is me.
