Poem -

Why?

Why?

Why can't life be easier?
Why is it a constant battle?
you sort out one problem
and another comes along
Am I paying for some major
sin in a past life?
How can you recompense
for something you don't know?

Maybe I was Attila the Hun
or a moneylender who's enjoyed his job?
I'll never find the answers
to these questions
I'll just have to soldier on
until my time is done

Hope next time is better
I'm trying every day
a good path to pave
so next time I'll have a clean slate
but does it matter isn't it all down to fate?

Hey Susan, this is great and so many can relate (everyone who has a pulse id say)

They say you get what your strong enough to take.. and there are so many quotes out there to encourge us along.

Bottom line, dont take it all too seriously.. When we are gone the world will still turn, treat yourself at least once a week to whatever makes you feel even a bit better. For me its a wash & blow dry at the hairdressers  :) Cant really afford it... but feck it.. I ll be dead a long time.

Good luck and love love your writing. x
