Why do I keep holding on

Why do I keep holding on, When the nights are endless and the days are gone? When the shadows stretch and swallow the dawn, Why do I keep holding on?In the silence, the echoes scream, Shattering the fragments of a broken dream. In the darkness, no light can gleam, Why do I keep holding on?Every step is a burden, heavy and slow, Through a landscape of sorrow, where nothing can grow. With a heart that's numb, and tears that flow, Why do I keep holding on?Perhaps it's the hope, fragile and slight, A whisper of dawn in the depths of night. Or the memory of love, distant and bright, That keeps me holding on, clinging tight.Maybe it's the promise of a better day, A faint glimmer of light that shows the way. In the midst of the pain, come what may, I'll keep holding on, come what may.

Don't know why you described this as nonsense it's actually a very potent write that many can relate to I should imagine.
