WIDOW's ONLY SON

WIDOW's ONLY SON

The thunder is mighty,

The lightning is fearful,

The rain is torrential,

The night is getting darker,

but her son is not back home still!

The river is in full spate,

swallowing everything on its way,

The wind is in full fury,

uprooting everything on its way,

He is her only son,

for whom she lived her life

He is her only hope,

but he is not back home still.

If you see a body afloat,

rolling up and down in the river

nearby her hut anytime,

tell her not of it,

let her live in hope,

for, her son is not back home yet!

The wind is blowing hard,

The lantern is about to burn out,

But she is still awake in midnight,

for, her son is not back home yet!
