Poem -

Wildfire

By Magic Bellmore, Queen of Chaos

CRACK,
The lightning struck our big tree,
A fire spread out licking the grass.

It ate all the leaves,
Kissed the trees,
Torched the grass,
Stole our homes.

That wildfire destroyed a small town,
Our town,
Our home,
Our lives.

It was a monster eating homes,
Crunching leaves,
Licking grass,
Roasting trees,
It ate our bushland and crisped any remains black.

It danced so delicately,
Smoked so harshly,
With all the grace of a flamboyant dancer,
Sped so swiftly,
Threw ash so carelessly,
Stole everything without a care.
