WILIAMSJI MAVELI POEM: THUNDER'S ROAR
Umbral Canopy

Umbral canopy, a vacant sky.
Crow-mind soars, lost in endless night.
Lightning’s silver sting, a fearful cry.
Thunder’s roar, a haunting, dark fright.
Peacock’s dance, a distant, vain desire.
Forgotten shield, a mind’s worn-out case.
Rain’s relentless whip, a funeral pyre.
Innocence drowned, in life’s cruel race.
Hills weep mud, a mournful, earthy sound.
Stones and rocks, a graveyard of the land.
River, once pure, now death’s crimson bound.
Humanity’s scar, a desolate brand.
