I'm sorry I can't be
Who do you need?
I don't even know
Who you want me to be.
You're too busy
Reflecting on memories
Of love gone by.
Not giving me a chance,
Not even a try.
Don't take the time
Can't see who I truly am.
Just too busy
Looking behind
At what once
You held it in your hands.
How can I love you,
You can't even see
This love I have
As my heart
Intensely bleeds.
Seeing who you are,
Accepted you for you,
With all your wounds,
All the battle scars too.
