WILLIAMSJI MAVELI - POEM: SPENDOR
SPENDOR

SPLENDOR
I am unable to resist its splendor
that can elucidate to me its wonder,
To blossom the Sunflower until he fades
into the darkness of mid-night blades,
Next to await for a spanking new dawn
Prepare for another genuine sad mourn
Turned to the southward, forward
with her head held high for a reward
she greets the Apollo, god of the lights
while his sun rays caress her very bright
That is her curse of unburned devotion,
the curse of great legend in adoration
and the story of her heart, blinded by lust,
like a lost man with his eyes in the dust.
She was blinded by a pure and deep love
so honest and wholesome from above
yet so far away and so highly profound,
it was her infirmity without healing around.
