WILLIAMSJI MAVELI WRITES....

The Storm Outside

WILLIAMSJI MAVELI WRITES....

The city is slick, with a mirrored sheen,
Reflects the heat that burns unseen.
No rings to bind, no need for a vow,
The storm outside, a primal now.

Laughter erupts, a husky sigh,
As stolen glances meet the eye.
Each step we take, a whispered plea,
A secret language, just you and me.

Though vows may wait, and rings may gleam,
This heavy rain, a sensual dream.
Love undenied, a fervent hold,
A primal hunger, fierce and bold.
