WILLIAMSJI MAVELI WRITES....

Night Stretched, A RAVEN'S Wing

WILLIAMSJI MAVELI WRITES....

Night stretched, a raven's wing,
Empty streets where we should have met.
What bloom did the moon forget,
Leaving behind a world unwet?

What kept you pacing through the dark?
My dreams mirrored your sleepless plight.
Burning embers, a fading spark,
Questions whispered into the night.

Dawn breaks, painting memories grey,
Like sweat on fingertips, memories slip away.
Marachot's echo, a distant song,
Great piranhas where we should belong.

Why can't you recall, why can't I forget?
This lingering echo, a whispered regret.
What hung unspoken, a weight on my tongue?
Did our paths ever truly meet, or were we unsung?
