Though fortune’s hand may deal a cruelest blow,
And trials may darken life’s brightest gleam,
A choice remains, a path that we may go,
To seek out joy, or wallow in our dream.
I choose to rise above the stormy seas,
To find a haven in my troubled heart,
To bask in sunlight, feel the summer breeze,
And let my spirit play its joyful part.
I’ll embrace the self that destiny has made,
With flaws and virtues, known and yet to be,
A tapestry of life, both light and shade,
A masterpiece of fate, unique to me.
So let me choose to laugh, to love, to live,
And find in happiness a gift to give.
