ALONG THE WINTY SKYLINE
Along the wintry skyline, stark and bare,
This icy breath of the wind, a lover's caress
Against bare skin, a desolate despair,
Where shadows lengthen and the spirits oppress.
A lone wolf howls, a mournful, weird sound,
Beneath the moon, a pale and ghostly gleam,
While frozen earth, in icy chains is bound,
Reflecting sorrow in a frigid stream.
Yet, deep within, a fragile seed takes hold,
A promise whispered on the biting wind,
Of spring's rebirth, a story yet untold,
Where life and hope, anew, their course will find.
And though the winter's grip may hold it fast,
The seed of life, forevermore will last.
