When sorrow's shadow dims your radiant grace,
My spirit seeks to find a steady hold,
An ember glowing in a dark, cold place,
A hidden comfort, precious as pure gold.
No fleeting spark, but warmth that will endure,
To share the burden of your quiet ache,
A fiery stone, a steadfast, silent cure,
For every tear that silently may break.
But when your lips a gentle smile embrace,
And light returns to banish every fright,
Then I shall rise, no longer held in space,
To burst forth, vibrant, as the morning light.
For in your sorrow, I find strength to glow,
And in your joy, my brightest self I show.
