Willow Tree

Willow Tree

I'm reading a book

By the sparkling brook

Something touches my back

So, I turn to look

It's a huge willow tree

It whispers my name

I reach out

But then I have to leave

I come back for a bit

Holding someone's hand

I see the willow tree there

And we sleep under it

When I return

After many years

It opens it's branches out to me

And wipes away my tears

My daughter returns for me

Because I cannot

She smiles when she sees

Mommy's willow tree
