Poem -

wind and rain

Today I walked through the storm

Buffeted

I became the Wind, swirling! Gusting!

I raised my hands and watched my fingers fly.

Away! Away!

Why is the rain so distrusting?

She hits the ground and is vanquished into the air

with a cry.

I am the Wind and Rain!

I float as a cloud.

A white streak marring the skies blue perfection.

Drifting but finally at peace.

I am the Wind and Rain!

Feel the suns heat,

it numbers my days.

I die in the violent clash of the summer storm.

I am the Wind and Rain.

Lightning splits the darkened sky

My soul expires and with a sigh,

I am the Wind and Rain.
