Poem -

wind chimes

the chimes call
From out in the garden
I am not in the garden
I sit in alone
Regardless, they call me,
these sweet chimes of heaven
So I'll go to the garden
To see if I'm known
But I can't find my refuge
In sunlight or trees
for the life in this day leaves me
troubled
Uneased.
I've need of a darkness
These days. Curtains closed.
For tis darkness not sunlight
That knows. Really knows,
I'm still dead

Wow Marion, your muse is truly justifying grief, I could almost hear the chimes and see the vision of you behind your curtains  in the misery. My goodness powerful in imagery and emotion your last lines, never fail to bring me a massive jolt. Kudos darling. 🌹

A haunting, powerful poem that flows well--and a great closing line.

When we need a darkness nothing else will do .. and when we need aloneness, only ghosts will guide us through .. Neville x
