Winds howl

Sea wind

Winds howl

Winds howl through the slight gap in the window.
Rattling the ropes,
Of the marinas floats and boats.
Crates swaying,
Speaking their own quiet language,
But upclose is a clanginging.
An orange light,
Omits our skies.
A hue of light,
For all the docks nights workers,
That seemingly glide.
I love living where I live.
The estuary,
The open sea,
The end of the road,
For you and for me.
Everywhere I look,
There’s either history or astounding countryside beauty.
All on the peninsula of 2 great rivers estuaries.
Life here for us,
Is away from the town,
So a little less worry.
Everything slows down.
No-one really in a hurry.
Rushing around,
Shoulder to shoulder,
Bumping into lumps,
As big as boulders.
Instead we’ve views a plenty,
For many a romanticist,
Or an artist.
Views that to me smoulders....
