WINTER BLUES

I gathered to me
All the winter blues
I threw them far
Prayed they wouldnt hurt you

I gathered to me
All your worry and care
I buried it deep
In the garden there

I gathered to me
The songbirds sweet
Bid them sing away
Your sorrows and weeps

But nothing worked
So I gathered you up
And buried you deep
In the cold dark dust

Now I gather to me
All the winter blues
For they live in me
In my grief for you.
