WINTER WEATHER

Icicles hanging from rooftops high

Snow covered landscape and pure white sky.

Careful as you walk! it`s slippy under foot.

Search for hats, scarf and gloves

And don`t forget your welly boots!

Constant peppering of sparkling white

Fighting to stay warm with all our might.

The cold wet carpet gets deeper still.

So we turn up the heating and forget about the bill.

Its a spectacle and wonder

A natural delight

That comes around each year

But still gives us all a fright.

The children build snowmen and have snowball fights.

Then come home wringing wet

With cheeks burning bright.
