Winter's Come

Winter's Come

Outside my window, the trees
Bare and grayish
Hold a stillness
As evolution's occasional leaf
Floating
Finds its way home to its earthen blanket
After its tanning and wilting array
And after a pleasant guise
A whispered promise "To come again"
I hold so dear these times
These seasons passing
There with all sweetly, did me kiss
And softly does touch my lips
Final days
The chill and warming presence
Of snowy bliss
As my heart feels the dewy echoes
Calling,
Steaming up a lamentation
Oh so ancient
Are these ever-experiences
These seasons passing
From youths intricacies
To Autumn's hues
With tears warm and grayish
Visually reminding
My soul,
My wispy spirit,
That
Warm and welcomingly,
Winter's,
Come...

This has such a whistful, almost ethereal feel to it Tony- It was quite intoxicating to read and become immersed in your  meditative revery. As always dear friend, a beautiful composition of words, emotions and imagery that fill the readers mind with pictures of Winter...lovely! xxx

The more I read, the more I felt an aching sense of loss. I'm probably way off the mark as usual but hey ho lol, each to their own interpretation eh? I loved it nonetheless. Well done my friend.xo

My Dear Brother Poet Tony,

Your lovely Winter's poem
Has inspired one from me
It's called, "Baby It's Cold Outside"
With a credit to my man "Tony"

.
As usual, your words have moved me
Inciting thoughts from in my heart
You're the "Coolest Dude" on Cosmo
I knew it from the start

Peace, Love and Rockets,
Larry xxx
