WINTERS PAST

The winter weather this year has been mildĀ
Certainly a lot different when I was a childĀ
Wrapped up warm and outside we would go
My sister and I having fun in freezing snow

Snowball fights and a snowman was madeĀ
Our teeth chattering for hours we played
Mum would eventually call us both inside
Not before we finished our sleigh rideĀ

We stood by the fire to warm our feetĀ
On the table was something hot to eatĀ
I look back fondly at those winters pastĀ
In the blink of an eye they disappeared so fast
