WINTERS PAST

The winter weather this year has been mild 
Certainly a lot different when I was a child 
Wrapped up warm and outside we would go
My sister and I having fun in freezing snow

Snowball fights and a snowman was made 
Our teeth chattering for hours we played
Mum would eventually call us both inside
Not before we finished our sleigh ride 

We stood by the fire to warm our feet 
On the table was something hot to eat 
I look back fondly at those winters past 
In the blink of an eye they disappeared so fast
