" Wiped Out From The Day "..

" Wiped Out From The Day "..

Wiped Out! the day is done, images racing through her mind
the man on the street corner asked her for the time, she lost her watch
and missed the bus, but somehow managed to make her morning meeting
which didn't go as she had planned, turns out her boss was leaving
just as she made it in, somehow she made her lunch engagement
only to be propositioned again, by the same 'ol guy, same arrangement
"Would you meet me at the Hotel?", she slapped his face, and ran away
hoping he'd understand, after all, he was the bosses friend, he could complain
but what the hell, she'd always been this way, and she'd never ever cave..

Wiped Out!! the day was over, she didn't have the strength to change
so she just, without hesitation, plopped down on her bed
She started thinking, would it ever end or would it be
she'd have play, the corporate game, by getting laid,
sleeping with superiors just to get ahead, hell no she'd never cave
was the mantra that she lived, still, the money could be great
the temptation to pick and choose, who the men would be
gave her cause to wonder, as she slid her hand between her knees
Hell No!!, she'd never, EVER, cave
she was just,
Wiped Out from the day.......

well it does boggle the mind of what made you think of this scenario?  I just think it's kind of fascinating to think about a woman in the corporate world and why she would consider "getting laid".  just an observation

It was a movie reference......."sleeping your way to the top" as an option, which of course she doesn't take by saying, "she won't cave".......just daydreaming I guess.......or maybe I'm lonely and insane........not sure (lol)............smiles......tony  xx

Dear Brother Tony Taylor,

Beautiful verse, a combination of life a style, My love, My applause, My vote

she started thinking, would it ever end or would it be

she'd have play, the corporate game, by getting laid,

sleeping with superiors just to get ahead, hell no she'd never cave

was the mantra that she lived, still, the money could be great

the temptation to pick and choose, who the men would be

gave her cause to wonder, as she slid her hand between her knees

Love & Regards

An interesting piece T` I believe in equality. I feel sorry for the people who believe they need to use others in such a deplorable way rather than valuing them for their abilities. A superb piece T` well done sweety. I love you. G xx
