A Wish

Sorrow always gets a hold of me

When I walk into the cemetery

It seems so long since you passed away

But I still miss you every single day

As I stand where you were laid to rest

Memories remind me, we were blessed  

Spending such wonderful times together

We thought they would last forever

But life intervened and all came to an end 

So now it is from here these words I send,

For being the one to wipe away any tears

But now I must tell you how I miss you so

I don't understand why, so soon, you had to go

It tests my faith to see you lying here

Please come back and make all things clear

I need you to be once more by my side

You must know how I struggle to cope inside

I can not talk to others as I do with you

Please come home and make a wish come true.
