WISHING I WAS THREE

I wish I was smarter than you
I wish I was three instead of two
I wish I could run and can climb trees
I wish I liked the taste of ham and cheese

I wish my brother was kind to me
I wish I was no longer two but three
I wish I could spend all days in the sun
I wish I was with daddy having fun

One of my wishes has finally come true
I can say that I am no longer two
Now I'm old and reflect on my childhood youth
Wishing I was two or three is certainly the truth
