With these eyes

With these eyes

With these eyes I've seen the pages of many lives unfold
As a love so strong grew into a hatred so cold

With these eyes I've seen families broken apart for mansions of glass
As innocent flirts turned into a romantic pass

For a fleeting moment of passion to increase
With these eyes I have seen many lose a lifetime of peace
