Poem -

Woman

The air stood at attention when she entered the room

Matter to majesty

An impression one never takes leave of

Perambulating as if she knew no effort

Rhythmic gait

Her silhouette set my ocular sense ablaze

Woman

Shaped by lascivious gods and carnal minds

Breathing interrupted

Within a heartbeat came that bouquet of madness

Tempered dawn

There is a sweetness to her skin, unrivaled by lilly or sapphire

Rendered powerless

In her subsequent movement towards my captivity

A mischievous grin emerges

A glancing blow to my proximity

Eyes espoused

I begin to realize this tremor and torture are intending to pass

Unanticipated loss

Kismet mixed with stardust and savored like cinnamon

Her fingers lift the corner of my sheet

Yesterday carboned

We form to each other as waves to the shore

My love

I will prepare myself for tomorrow
