Wonder Queen
Wondrous Queen of Egypt's past,
International beauty, 'murderess',
the enigma, which may well last,
story includes ambition - duress.
History, mix of victor - vanquished,
in hatred and some tales of woe;
details are seldom as one wished,
status may be Imperial, or low.
Legend is fom myth or real fact,
Egyptian Queen, Centurion too,
legendary story, seldom exact,
love took both, as won hearts do!

Ewen… are you writing about Cleopatra and Mark Anthony? I find their lives very interesting. Cleo was well educated born in Greece. She was definitely a murderess, had several children by Mark Anthony and never realized her ambition to rule the world. Enjoyed this write!
