Was Jesus' purpose to reveal that there is one God

Was it to remind

Did the Jews not know it

Please switch on your mind

I'm sure you'll find they knew it well

Though they debated about heaven and hell

The message of Moses needn't be a broken record

Jesus didn't come to proclaim redundant loop

No, he was a sign

He spoke of new wine

He spoke of a new time

He was light to the blind to fast forward, not rewind

Many say he gave "good news" already known

But that ain't at all what "evangel" do show

It means a new ruler has come into town

One not known to that generation

So what does that tell ya

He had to show something 'twas unseen before

According to him 'twas he is "The Door"

He said Moses spoke of him and on wood he answered Job

He rose up from the dead as the sign 'twas on the Tav

And his Spirit beckons you come in

Even today
