As The World Turns

The candles is burning,
the world is turning
the wind is blowing,
the leaves are curling.
tears fall and create a tear pool,
the fearless grow fearful and
the ear-less get an earful,
clouds drift as clocks tick
the focused loose focus
treats transform to tricks.
The birds are flying
the babies are crying,
the sand is pouring
the leaves are piling.
the earth turns as we continue to learn
why water flows and why fire burns,
the hands of time both left and right
allow us time to appreciate life.
