WORN WITH PRIDE

I am today wearing my poppy with prideĀ
Remembering the fallen who bravely died
They fought for me I must never ever forgetĀ
Heartaches along the way a sure fire betĀ

The ultimate sacrifice these people paidĀ
No longer with us on earth I'm afraidĀ
Loved ones behind left to weep and mournĀ
Their lives forever ripped, shattered and tornĀ

So remember please the armed personnelĀ
Whose torment must be like that of hellĀ
Poppies are the symbol be proud to wearĀ
I want to see an end to this killing warfare
