Wounded Healer

Wounded healer
Hiding in my lies
Fracturing my truth
In many which ways
Trying to be absolute
A plaster of lust
Engineering distrust
No oil for rust
No cure for the mind
No bandage for time
Block it out
Pack it in
We don't go anywhere when we're glued to sin
Just keep going round
Making the same old din
The poison river meanders
In key and tune to slanders
Yet there were poppies in Flanders
Dismantle my lies
Building in my truth
What I keep in me
Is in what I choose
I'm not defined by the abuse I received
I'm not cast down by the life I chose to lead
My heart was heavy
It holds too much
Just needing a clear out
Brave to look
Somewhere somehow
That mirage did fade
Cut all out
Spiritual scalpel blade
Now a scab in place of the stab
No stitch in the lip
Using the truth
To obliterate the lies
One of the facets
Of this healing journey of mine
Pull up a chair
If your heart dares to dare
I'll show you a way
But you'll find your way there

Just now I came across to this powerful poem. Raw, grit, real, so much emotion. How have you been Thomas Clark?
Hi 👋
thank you I appreciate it . Im doing well , growing each day .
hope you are well too
Good to hear from you Thomas. Write something for us. Sometimes just a few simple lines say it all. Stay well. Greetings.
To speak from the mind and talk with the hand
echoes and whispers scattered
amongst stone and sand
