Write it Right

They say tell a tale,
One that can't be forgotten.
New and young, slowly old,
Like shakespearean words out in the cold.
Like ice that freezes the depths of one's heart,
or warms it again and yet tears it apart.
Hold thy pencil in thy hand,
Mime your story, let the words land.
Describe the lush green fields of a meadow,
or the howling blizzards of heavy snow.
The rivers that would run in your story,
Lightly, then dense, do not worry.
Tell us your smile that spreads,
happy but still as heavy as lead.
Bittersweet melon that grasps you tight,
as memories and vile emotions take flight
A work of fiction that cannot be deceived,
Your happiness and sadness, your goals achieved.
Keep going, keep running,
And hold your own hand,
For the angels and devils,
will soon be buried in the sand.
Write out your love
and write out your heart
for there are worlds you'll want to be a part.
Of.
So be afraid but also embrace the pain,
that comes your way.
