WRITER'S BLOCK

WRITER'S BLOCK

Is this what it means when you suffer from writer's block ?Ā
Words not rhyming and you may end up as a laughing stock
I can't find a story to put my words onto a pageĀ
An actor is the same if he loses his voice on stage

I rack my brains in the hope that something will appearĀ
There must be a story out there I just wish it was hereĀ
Then in a whoosh and a shiver down my spineĀ
A story comes to me I hope it will turn out fineĀ

Writer's blockĀ is a common disease amongst poets I'm sureĀ
My advice is to lock yourself behind a closed door
The story can be fact, fiction, very happy or very sadĀ
I am so happy to finish, writer's block was driving me mad
