Wrong reasons

It’s time to let go
I’ve been holding 
on to long wishing 
I knew how ,
For all the wrong 
reasons I thought 
we’re right life
feels like an
escalator,
only leading to
another fight.
I can’t hold onto 
to the what that
never was even 
though it’s the
one thing I kept 
locked away 
deep inside 
to keep telling 
myself we’d never
say goodbye..
