Yellow

Yellow

Yellow.
L.M.Robbins.

Van Gogh’s sunflowers were plaited into an oil scented rope.
To the base of her spine it hung.
Her face, a soliloquy of cool.
Panda eyes behind fly-eye sunglasses,
60’s French cinema chic, pouts between puffs,
Chain smoking a pack of Gauloises.
A perennial primrose in Capri pants, and yellow tee,
Swaying along the boulevard.
Stopping coffee being sipped,
And bagels being bitten,
She is the thief of their attention.
Kitten heels playing chopsticks,
Stabbing sun-kissed pavements,
Her simple act of walking,
Is poetry in motion.

EXCELLENT poetic phrasing here Sir ROBBINS!!......I felt as if I was seeing Audrey Hepburn at her finest....... walking down The Champs Elysees on a picture perfect day in Paris!!..... Dude, your phrasing creates unbelievably powerful & crystalline imagery in this truly compelling piece of "Poetry in motion!" ......PINNED......gonna have to keep checking in on you from time to time dear poet brother!!....... you have a magnificent pen!!........I am your newest cyber-friend and admirer!!.......T xo ?✴❤
Ps. Van Goh's 'Sunflowers' was the perfect touch!!
