Poem -

YO KHIVAH!

The Destroyer

Covered in silver ash

I lie upon the rubbish dumps

An ibis king

I eat with the fossickers

As the moon borrows the earth's shade

I borrow this living tomb

Afterall, like everything else around this place,

It has my name on it

_
I'm perfectly sober

But I light up the make-shift bong

For a friend in need of pain relief:

A woman burdened in Dandora,

A child who hungers in Dhapa,

An elderly man in Payatas

_
They think I don't know

Even the Hagarene understood this part

I see what mankind does

I am not blind or deaf

Contrary to popular opinion

_
And I speak the truth

A doctor is among the sick

Where else did you expect me to be?

But my pruning fork wasn't designed for such indignity,

Sorting out vegetable scraps from plastic trash to feed my chicks

Mark my words, we shall not be mocked

If you are ashamed of my nakedness it's only a reflection on you

_
My innovative grace is an invention of your necessity

And I wait patiently for you to repent

To understand that leaving your 99 for the 1s will not harm your soul

_
At night we dance among the burning tyres and die together

On the other side of this cross my love will greet them something grand

Today they shall be with me in Paradise

_
And when my steed is released

Don't be precious about the trinkets in the china shop

Cause we're bringing it all down

And you call your ba'al a bull market

Pfft
