Poem -

You Are Lovely

You are lovely.

Riding society like a ship on smooth waters
The sun they embrace after dim days
Triumphant, revered, grand

You are lovely.

Stand, you are unbreakable
Speak and mountains move willingly.
A being of magnificence

You are lovely.

A flash of hesitation
Strength becomes vulnerability.
Intelligence turns to foolishness
And the beauty of your heart is misguided.

You are lovely.

Your prominence fades
That marvelous radiance dulls
A mistake and you’re undesirable

Thrown into the world of the unknown
Welcome, I’m a local
You are nothing

Recoil at the people of irrelevance
The thought of your former self
And you cry
Your once words of status echo inside
You’ve fallen my lovely,

And I adore you still.
