Poem -

You Asked for my Opinion

This left an anxious taste in my mouth.
A feeling of discomfort.
A loss for words.
I listened to letters that formed sentences,
but couldn't understand the meaning.
I fought for composure,
but could sense parts of me cracking.
Breaking.
Searching for answers.
Why now, why me?
I'm still healing.
I'm mute.
Afraid of what I might say; I freeze.
Hold onto me tight.Drown out my thoughts.
Be here, forget tomorrow.
Stop.
