Poem -

the lady who broke my heart

the lady who broke my heart

When you left me
You broke my heart
When you stabbed me in the back
You broke my soul
When you spread rumours
You took away my dignity
And when God took your life
You begged for Mercy

So I ask Miranda
With your flowing brown hair
Your callous blue eyes
Whose karma is it now
Now that you scream with pain
Begging for help
Shouting at God
Blaming everyone for everything

Yesterday I visited your grave
I stood upon the edges
With my heart I read your name
And with my soul I tried to understand
Your ghost appeared in front of me
Calling out my name
Shouting and abusing
For now I stand upon you

In our dreams we were lovers
We travel through Europe together
We walked down the Champs Élysées
Sipping coffee at cafe
Shopping for high-fashion
And the ring upon your finger
In our dreams we were together
Now you're gone no longer forever

I wonder what became of love
As I write the words below
Taking in the breaths every day
Speaking to your ghost
I wonder Miranda what became of us
Two lovers upon the earth
Now that we are apart
You the lady who broke my heart
