Poem -

You & I Innocence

Start as friends,
with tongue-tied silence
surface tension.

Not entirely sure if
you became a friend,
or a questioning crush.
During the process
you were lost in the cold
with a relationship on hold.

I was constantly thinking to myself
"It's too soon. I've been broken
longer than I should've. I need my
emotions to stop taking over.
I need to focus on myself."

Creating a storm of
unexplainable emotions.
By this time I was getting more
afraid that my love for you
was beginning to unfold.

Before you, I suffered.
You were hidden in a blizzard.
My bare palms,
to my finger tips latches onto
your fine dark cotton shirt.
My storm became an ongoing tornado.

You're my every weakness.
