You Lied
Donât throw the pastÂ
that didnât last up
to me.
Your telling onÂ
yourself donât youÂ
know?
Twenty years is dust
Not worth a fuss,
and ladyâs luck
to finally know itâsÂ
eating you up,
Deep down youÂ
know Iâve alwaysÂ
tried no matterÂ
how muchÂ
you lied,
Iâve always beenÂ
honest,
Always watched you
run and hide,
from the truth
because you are,
the one thatâsÂ
always liedâŚ.

Lots of bitterness and also loads of truth, sometimes I think it's a foregone conclusion how all love stories end...fall.in love, grass is always greener...for one...split up....grass is always greener for same one who now wants to come back....lol...never heard it go any other way...Great write Deb x
