Poem -

You Took My Dreams

You Took My Dreams

~~I was dreaming in the nights shadows
You came and the shutters fell from
darkened houses
where my dreams
hid in cloistered rooms.

Light poured into the winnows
and illuminated
 the rooms
in your golden sunlight.

You took my sad lonely dreams
That tormented me with tears.
And filled them with joy.
So full I have no space
for a single sad thought.

Oh they were so deep and lost.
Drowning in the black cold waters
of deep lost rivers.
You have taken the dreams away
Bringing them into the daytime
Full of your love
and joy and happiness.

My applause, My vote

  • You took my sad lonely dreams
  • That tormented me with tears.
  • And filled them with joy.
  • So full I have no space
  • for a single sad thought.
