Poem -
YOU WANT TO PAY FOR ME?
Free healthcare?
Government Run?
Is there anything really wrong with that?
If you don't mind waiting months to be seen...
Having to wait in line and you feel like you've been run over by a truck...
If you don't mind all your personal health in the hands of the Government...
Imagine the Government making all the decisions on how your care will and won't be taken care of...
If you really don't mind paying for my healthcare and others, you must be rich...
I can't afford you, you, or you...
I say pay your own and I'll pay for mine...
If you want to pay for mine please sign in the comment box and I will consider signing up...

A great thought provoking write Sparrow song. You know...years ago I would have said that the NHS in UK was one of mankind's greatest achievement...now...I'm not too sure. I have seen how millions of people have had lucrative careers in 'being ill' and never having to work...I have seen stupid policies that cover the organisation whilst not protecting workers ...I have seen how the NHS has moved far far away from the original principles of everybody paying in for the benefit of all. Now it's just the few who.break their backs and give up their entire lives in the care of the 'ALL'
Years ago being unfit for work meant...being unfit for work. Now it covers just about anything. I think the great principles behind it only work in an unselfish society. What is that??? Never known one myself. Though, on balance, I still have hopes that sense will prevail and it will return to the great thing it was meant to be... hugs 💕

Well I have to say you do have a point. But I am also very thankful for our NHS. A few months back I nearly lost my sight in one of my eyes. I went to the A&E and within 10 minutes I was seen by a doctor and sent to the eye specialist. An hour after seeing the specialist I had had tests and scans and was sent on my way to another hospital to have immediate surgery. I have since found out that my eye surgeon is one of the worlds leading retinal specialists. They saved my sight and it did not cost me a single penny bar the train ticket to and from the hospital. Well, okay, it did cost.... I pay my national insurance. I know that the NHS needs loads more money and probably a big overhaul. But I love our NHS and all the people who work in it. Would we all get better care if we went private? To be honest I am not sure about that.

This Country thrives to get deeper in deficits instead of trying to get ahead...
I think every Country has their good, their corrupt and everything inbetween...
There's going to be a lot of people who won't be able to afford the costs of others' burdens...

Good thought provoking - something in between - The Taiwan model seems to be reasonable and certainly better than the UK NHS.

Biden said lots of changes are coming in the next couple of months...
He's already talking extremely high numbers of jobs will be lost...
Truck Drivers have already gone on strike in hopes Biden will listen to them...
It's already a mess and he's not even President yet...

Noticed we're not accused of caring for the well being of our Country and our concern that people are going to have more struggles which we have been warned about...
I just don't think we all got the same Memo...
Population control is not a new subject or not, not ever talked about...
This isn't even the beginning of this new era yet...
I think you know if you remember some of my writes over the last 6 years that I talked about this a few times I just didn't know who or when...

I think the Adults shouldn't have to depend on anyone for their well being of their health care...
We're not Children and yet, so many want the Government to be their Mommy and Daddy...
I think we should all choose for ourselves and if that makes me a racist that makes absolutely no sense...
