Your Ambassadors Thank You

Prologue

Beneath, as your departing June Ambassador, I have written a poem of tribute to all of you wonderfully gifted artists who’s beautiful works I had the privilege of commenting on this past month.  But first, I would like to start by thanking my lovely wife Linda, for all her painstaking help with this prodigious project.  I am computer illiterate, so she is my conduit to the world.  She worked feverishly, right by my side, to respond to every poem written on “Love” and “Saving The Environment”, plus multitudes of others, which also included responses to comments made on our own poems, plus several other undertakings.  Without her, all this would have been impossible.  So, I have named our poem to you, “Your Ambassadors Thank You”, because I was “selected” for this great honor, but she was the “unseen hero” of its success.

A great honor on me, was bestowed graciously, Cosmo’s Ambassador for the month of June;

When I learned of this, with my mouth all agape, my heart began to so swoon!

For I wondered if I was worthy of it, of such trust, you had placed within me;

But I vowed to do the damndest I could, to be the best that I was able to be!

They gave me two topics, that I’d prefer you to write;

The first I selected was one of true love, the next, “Mother Natures’” sad plight!

You responded so quickly, as your poems flew in;

Such great works of beauty, and lovely prose, where is one to begin?

I’ll start first by saying, “thank you my friends”, that kept me so truly immersed;

For I wanted to thoroughly dissect each one, for your honor with copious verse!

You wrote from your hearts such beautiful words, I wrote comments from deep in my soul;

As the truth was all I needed to speak, for your odes, to greatly extol!

So now my Ambassadorship has ended, and my position I endow;

To a beautiful woman, who’s writes show a lot of know-how!

I thank you all, for making this month, the greatest I’ve ever known;

I pledge you all, my eternal love, for “yours”, that to me, you have shown!
