Youth in Love

Youth in Love

Gone has autumn's tease
Yet dancing, rosy leaves
From bright, stoic trees
Throttle the way in their release

Slept has the mighty star
Yet escape broke through
Spills of yellow and blue
Make it past the darkest hue

How chaste and absolute
As a season sets foot
As the sun's transient end
Was love that youth commends
