Youthful Vigour

As I get older I remember the experience of youth,
Knowing how fortunate I was, and what it is worth !
I relaxed in the comforts of a caring, sharing home,
Always appreciating where rich jollity comes from !

The troubles back then were few and far between.
Every single one of those days was ours, as dream !
Nobody could deny us what we had every right to.
Each moment was far too easy to enjoy, in review !

Nothing will ever be as it was then, I now realize !
It all happened through completely different eyes. 
In hindsight, I was dedicated to practical learning !
No one can call what we did anything but exciting !
