Ziggy is my ragdoll ?

I must have been a little girl
When my Mammy bought for me
The cutest cloth ragdoll that I ever did see
I think it was for a Christmas present
Tho itâs so very long ago
Alas, I cannot ask my dear Mother for sheâs up in heaven you know
I named her âZiggyâ as she reminded me of a star
David Bowieâs Ziggy character was my favourite by far
So she sits on my windowsill
In my bedroom eternally
Ziggy is the only toy I have from my memory
My little ragdoll is a similar age to me
So almost sixty years weâve been together as happy as can be
I cannot put her in my washine machine
I know she would fall apart
Tho she has collected alot of dust
I love her with all my heart
I talk to her, she listens to me
Yet I realise Ziggy canât hear
But just to have her in my life
Well she fills my heart with cheer
I bet you have that special thing
That means the whole wide world to you
You would never throw it away
Thatâs something you wouldnât do
Just like me we need abit of our childhood
One simple thing that gives us pleasure
& Yes it may be falling apart at the seams
But itâs ours forever to treasure
