Cat and Small

Tucked far away in the Mistle Creek Woods lives a family. An unconventional family at that, but nevertheless a family. They live in a log cabin called Otterman, attached to a hill that they dug out and created part of the house inside as well.
Pete is the breadwinner of the house, or you could call him that at least, because everything in the house, has been either found or made in the Mistle Creek Woods.
The cupboards are filled with bowls and plates and cups made from the stumps of trees. Same with the silverware of course all wood. The cupboards also hold the food found in the woods; mushrooms, berries, nuts, and all sorts of different plants saved for salad and homemade remedies.
Pete hunts as well, so there are lovely warm blankets made from the hides of deer and deer meat hangs in the kitchen for smoked jerky and cooking.
Sarah is Pete's counterpart, his everything. She is quite useful with the different items she can scrounge up in the woods as well. She collects berry's for dying clothes, eating, and different plants for concoctions.
In addition to Sarah and Pete live 4 other dwellers.
Cat and Small are faeries that live on top of hanging plans that Sarah has hanging in the living room.
Crank and Gat are two brownies that live in the kitchen, of course! (Brownie = a Nome like creature that lives in the kitchen and eats a little bit of everything and leaves crumbs for you to pick up!, a tad bit pesky). But everyone really just does love Crank and Gat despite their peskiness.
The most lovely part about this house is there is a touch of magic around every corner and outside the house as well.
The trees in Mistle Creek Woods are the wisest of all inhabitants. They are there for the most difficult of situations. You can sit in front of Great Oak and meditate to find the answer to any of ailments. Great Oak will listen, and after a long pause, will help you weed out the story to find the answer to your problems.
Now on this Monday, a warm day with lots of sun peaking out into different spots all over the woods, Cat decides to visit Great Oak. Cat and Small are married, if I didn't make that clear earlier. Cat is the female faerie and Small is her male counterpart faerie.
Small told Cat that he would like to meet other faeries in the woods and branch out (hehe). The one thing that was on Cat's mind is how very content she is living in their house, and does not see the need to branch out. Their life is quite calm and peaceful, why add in anything else?
While meditation with Great Oak a bright glittery light streamed by her landing directly next to her. A beautiful female fairy sat next to her. She smiled and said hello my name is Mistrell, what is yours? Cat introduced herself and the two hit it off right away.
Later that night Cat told Small about her run in with Mistrell and how the two made plans to fly around together tomorrow. Small was so happy for Cat branching out he smacked a loud kiss right on her face.
The next day Cat went flying with Mistrell far up in the sky and around the treetops. Mistrell brought her to a stream down the way with tons of other faeries floating and basking in the sun. Some were even shooting down from the sky and dipping in the water. Cat was so excited to bring Small back to this place and to introduce him to everyone she met.
Of course the day after that she did and Small had a blast. They found a nice place with new faerie friends to go and adventure to on a regular basis. All was well in the Otterman household once again and the faeries were as bright and sparkly as ever.
