Dylan's Motorcycle & his co-rider(s)...

Replacement motorcycle, etc... on Saturday 16th of April, Rosemary and Ewen (me) travelled to collect the recently bought Kawasaki 650 cc motorcycle, (photographed)... the choice of this machine's governed by my wishing to have the most suitable motorcycle possible whilst accompanying our Dylan - whenever's suitably possible. I'm certain that our elder grandson appreciates that being given your first motorcycle is not common practice!
The idea of giving Dylan his first motor, a motorcycle, is entirely due to his granny, Rosemary. Personally, I didn't wish to be involved in that idea. I'm besotted by motorcycling... so I felt that I couldn't fairly give advice or opinion! Anyway, now that the primary steps have been taken, I'm eager to be involved - as much as may be reasonably possible. If a motorcycle isn't respectfully treated and cared for - one will not be a respectable motorcyclist!
Concurrently, Dylan will focus on developing his car driving skills and knowledge. With that process, his family can be of invaluable help, in more than just supervision and/or guidance! I've experience which I can draw from; I'm a retired DSA ADI (Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor), or simply 'ADI' as we called each other. We were fully aware of our official motto: "Safe driving for life", which was our keenest belief and aim! Perhaps our lengthy title shows why we abbreviated it to 'ADI'?
Dylan will have some awareness of my previous profession, but that will not be the uppermost in our minds! That 'motto' will still be our main point! Dylan's inclined to join our family's motorcycling enthusiasm... and why not, if you live in Scotland/Alba? Both residents and our visitors recognize why we think of Scotland as 'Bikers Heaven'!
