Elementary Halloween

As a child Halloween had a different meaning that I didn't want to lose. What would I dress as and will I get a lot of candy? I hope the weather is good. This is only one day a year, who will throw parties all of us can go to? Now that I am older it is fun to reflect.

I remember we would go into less public areas, in costume searching for the guys in our grade. Two years in a row I remember having so much fun ignoring our parents rules and looking for my crush in his chosen costume. Showering that night was a chore. When the guys and girls finally found each other it was fighting fun! So many cans of silly string, shaving cream, eggs and more. We found ways around the towns rules of selling those things. I loved Halloween and can't erase the innocence of then.
